Access to expertise and knowledge

SMEs get answers to their specific “knowledge gap” through demand driven questioning

In this activity, the type of knowledge and expertise that participating research institutes can provide, such as research capacity, advice, field measurements, software etc., are assembled and offered as a service to SMEs, and presented on this portal. The selection of services that research institutes deliver is based on market consultations and therefore demand driven.

During workshops the research institutes identify which type of knowledge and expertise can be publicly disclosed and also the conditions for SMEs to have access to these services. In addition they will identify ways for structural collaboration in order to deliver integrated “knowledge packages” to SMEs. This activity will be led by Deltares and executed together with the other Dutch research institutes currently connected to DMEC: the Institute for Marine Resources & Ecosystem Studies (IMARES), the Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research (NIOZ), the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO), the Energy research Centre of the Netherlands (ECN) and the Erasmus University Rotterdam.
